Air Conditioning

What is Air Conditioning?

A modern air conditioning unit is an Air Source Heat Pump. Instead of heating water (Air to Water) it heats the air (Air to Air).

It works by compressing a gas into a liquid and letting the liquid phase change back to gas. The phase change absorbs the heat and moves it outside, lowering the indoor temperature.

A modern multi-split system can lower your heating bills in winter and give a cooler home through the summer. Year round comfort and lower bills? Its a win! Win!

Core functions

Cooling: It pulls in warm indoor air, passes it over cold refrigerant-filled coils to absorb the heat, and blows the chilled air back out. The extracted heat is then pumped outside via an outdoor unit or hose.
Heating: Many modern systems feature a reverse cycle (heat pump) that extracts heat from the outside air and moves it indoors to warm your home.
Dehumidifying: As the unit cools the air, moisture condenses on the cold coils and drains away, reducing indoor humidity and making the air feel less stuffy.
Purifying: Built-in filters capture airborne dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke particles to improve indoor air quality.

Upgrading or optimizing your air conditioning can lower your cooling costs by 20% to 50%. By adjusting daily habits and maintaining your system, you can see immediate reductions in your monthly energy bills.
